It’s so much fun when our clients show up at our shoots with their dog. And it’s especially fun if they show up with an adorable Great Dane named Bo.

So we headed out to the Apple Orchard by the Red Barn and started off our shoot with Sondra, Tony and Bo hanging out  with each other.

Bo is such an incredibly beautiful animal. A big teddy bear who weighs in at 150 lbs. Here he is checking out what’s going on behind him.

Since Tony is a hunter, they both showed up  in matching Camo sweaters. It looks like Bo blends in with them. The next 6 shots below are from Joe’s camera. He sees them from a completely different angle. Love his eye!

Sondra has the most contagious laugh and when she’s around Tony, you can see her whole countenance light up.

Below are 2 of my favorite shots of the day. Joe said he thought this shot reminded him of a scene from the Princess Bride.

I can almost hear Sondra laughing here…She is so much fun to photograph.

We took a short walk by the apple orchard.

And captured some of the late afternoon sun peeking through the trees.

And here’s Bo’s default position, right in between the two of them.

We found a very cool wheat field and spent some time there waiting for the sunset.

They brought along their sporty retro yellow muscle car. It totally goes with their sporty adventurous personalities.

As the sun began to set, we were able to capture some of the incredible red and orange clouds. It rained a few hours before this sunset so the sunset colors were dramatic that day.

Finally we ended the day with this dramatic backlit shot. Thanks to Joe for being my walking, talking light stand for this quick shot – it was too cold and too windy for the lightstands we had with us…and poor Sondra was getting cold. Sondra thought it looked like an MTV shot. I completely agree.
